19 Linear Power Supply Converts AC power to regulated DC voltage for operation of the line
extender. (Only the transformer is visible.)
20 RAW DC T.P. A testpoint to measure the unregulated DC voltage from the transformer
and rectifier. This should be between 28 and 35V
DC.
21 RAW DC Voltage
Selector Switch
Adjusts the Power Supply transformer to the input AC voltage in order to
provide RAW DC between 28 and 35 V
DC.
22 REVERSE B+ T.P. Testpoint to measure the return power supply regulated DC voltage. This
should be 22.8 to 25.2V
DC. Not available in units with an HEPSE90
power supply.
23 CABLE SELECT TLC only. Switch to match the temperature compensation circuit to the
cable preceding the line extender. Use
6dB for up to 10dB of preceding
cable loss; use
15dB for over 10dB of preceding cable loss.
24 TLC/MAN Switch to enable or disable TLC. MAN provides a constant gain; TLC
causes the line extender to monitor temperature to maintain preselected
output levels.
TLC setting requires appropriate setting of the CABLE
SELECT
switch.
25 RFI Filter Blocks transmission of any RF signals into the 117VAC line. Used in
117V
AC powered models only.
26 Detachable AC Power
Cord
Connection from 117V power supply to 110V wall socket.
27 REV OUTPUT TP Directional testpoint for measuring return RF output signals.
28 AC TP Testpoint for measuring AC power input to the power supply.
29 Integrated Power Supply High efficiency power supply integrated into the RF module (see H. E.
Power Supply Replacement on page 6-3) for replacement instructions).
1. Although labeled on the faceplate, the 862MHz/117V E7 Line Extender does not have a main fuse located on
the PCB. It is mounted on the RFI filter.
2. Although labeled on the faceplate, the 862MHz/117V E7 Line Extender does not have a through power fuse.
