Function settings particular to Live View shooting are explained here.
If you press the <Q> button while the image is displayed on the LCD
monitor in a Creative Zone mode, you can set any of the following: AF
method, Drive/self-timer mode, Metering mode, Image-recording
quality, White balance, Picture Style, Auto Lighting Optimizer, and
Creative filters.
In Basic Zone modes, you can set the settings shown in the table on
page 81 (except Background blur), as well as the functions in bold
above.

Press the <Q> button.
X The settable functions will be
displayed.

Select a function and set it.
Press the <W> <X> keys to select a
function.
X The selected function and Feature
guide (p.52) will appear.
Press the <Y> <Z> keys or turn the
<6> dial to set the function.
In the <8> mode, select the
shooting mode box on the screen’s
upper left, then press the <B>
button to select the shooting mode.
To set Drive/self-timers <q>
setting, Picture Style parameters, or
Creative filter effects, press the
<B> button.
