DATA ERROR
PRESS START KEY
The machine may have trouble. Press [Start] to restore all
settings to the default. If the
message persists, contact
Canon Customer Care Center.
DOCUMENT TOO LONG The document fed from the
ADF is longer than 24 7/8"
(630 mm), or is not feeding
correctly.
Scan the document on the
platen glass.
Reduce the length of the
document to within 24 7/8"
(630 mm), then try again.

FAILED TO WRITE Some kind of error occurred
in the machine when you are
scanning a document to a USB
memory (e.g., the USB memory
is disconnected from the
machine.).
Make sure that the USB
memory is inserted correctly to
the machine.
Press [OK] and try again.
FAILED TO WRITE
CHECK MEDIA
USB memory locked or
with security function
is connected to the USB
memory port.
– Release the lock on the
USB memory or use a USB
memory without security
function.

The type of the USB
memory connected to the
USB memory port is not
supported.
– Use a USB memory with a
file system FAT16 or FAT32.

The USB memory is full of
data or the number of file
limit has reached.
– Get enough space in the
USB memory or organize
your destination folder from
your computer.

CHECK THE FEEDER
A document jam may have
occurred in the ADF.
Remove the jammed
