Replacing the Drum Unit
Replacing the Drum Unit
When the message <REPLACE THE DRUM> appears on the display, replace the drum unit.
Do not throw used drum unit into open  ames, as they may ignite the toner remaining inside the unit, and result in burns or a  re.
If you use the machine without inserting the drum unit, <INSERT THE DRUM> appears on the display. In this case, turn OFF the
main power, and install the drum unit into the machine.

Open the left cover.

Holding the grips on the drum unit,
slightly lower and remove it from the
machine.
Do not touch the  xing assembly as it becomes
very hot during use.

Open the package of the new drum unit
and remove the protective packing
material (A).

Hold the unit by its grips on both sides.
