Even after the flash fires, ensure that
the main subject does not move until the
shutter sound is finished playing.
(_ Mount the camera on a tripod or take other measures to keep it
still and prevent camera shake. Additionally, you should set [IS
Mode] to [Off] when using a tripod or other means to hold the
camera still (_ I O1).
The setting screen cannot be accessed by pressing the <f_>
button when the flash is lowered. Press the <_I.> button to raise
the flash, then configure the setting.
Just as with regular exposure compensation (_[_81), you can adjust the
flash exposure from -2 to +2 stops, in 1/3-stop increments.
Press the <@> button, choose [[:_l] in
the menu, and adjust the setting by either
pressing the <_><_> buttons or turning
the <@> dial (_37).
Once the setting is complete, [_J] is
displayed.
When there is a risk of overexposure, the camera automatically adjusts the
shutter speed or aperture value during the flash shots to reduce washed-out
highlights and shoot at optimal exposure, However, you can deactivate automatic
adjustment of the shutter speed and aperture value by accessing <MENU>
(:T_ 38) and setting [Safety FE] in [Flash Settings] on the [O] tab to [Off],
You can also configure the flash exposure compensation by accessing
<MENU> (:T_38) and choosing [Flash Exp. Comp] in [Flash Settings] on
the [0] tab.
You can also access the [Flash Settings] <MENU> screen when the flash
is up by pressing the <_> button and immediately pressing the <MENU>
button.
