* Open grass cover after with care to avoid stones or
other objects in blade area.
* Always perform mowing operation in forward
direction. Mowing in backward direction may make
grass discharge poor and cause stones or other
objects to be thrown from machine.
6.9 How to Open and Close the Grass Outlet Cover
Lock plate
Cover locking pin
1. Move the blade clutch lever to "OFF".
2. Pull the cover locking pin.
3. There are three round holes in the lock plate. Insert the
cover locking pin into any one of these round holes. The
opening of the cover can be adjusted by changing the
hole into which the cover locking pin is inserted.
* Do not open or close the grass outlet cover while
the cutter blade is rotating.

8. Operate with slightly open grass outlet cover when grass
discharge is poor or when cutting on inclined area, after
checking surrounding area for safety.
