HST Oil Reservoir
1. Park machine on level ground.
2. Open engine hood.
3. Visually inspect that oil level is between [MIN]
and [MAX] lines on oil reservoir. If it is below
[MIN], ll oil.
4. Close engine hood.
Inspecting - Models without charge-pump
1. Open engine hood.
2. Remove cap on HST oil reservoir.
3. Fill specied HST uid into reservoir so that
oil level is above [MIN] line on reservoir.
4. Reinstall cap back in place and screw it
securely.
5. Close engine hood.
Filling - Models without charge-pump

5. Remove oil lter.
6. Have a new oil lter. Apply thin coat of oil onto its oil seal and install it.
• HST system cannot be fully drained due to its design.
• Do not operate drive pedal or drive lever with HST oil drained. Doing so lets air into
the circuit, necessitating to bleed the circuit.
NOTE
7. Reinstall drain plug.
8. Fill fresh oil to level.
9. Reinstall ller cap.
10. Start engine and run it for a while. Stop it and check HST oil level.
11. Restart engine and drive machine back-and-forth from standstill several times.
12. Check oil level. If it is lower, ll.
13. Perform 10-12 until oil level stabilizes.
14. Check if there is no oil leak.
15. After changing HST oil, check oil level every 10-30 minutes of use for a while and ll as
necessesary.
