In the same manner, enter the names and telephone numbers from FOX
to
HOYT
in
successive order. Do
not
forget
to
press
the~
key at the end
of
each
telephone number.
Notes:
1.
There
is
a reason for separating the name and telephone number with
","
(comma). Since the comma
is
a special symbol indicating separation
of
data
in
one record in the DATA BANK and, since it will serve an important role
when retrieving the memo data later, always be sure
to
enter the comma.
2. In the above example, pressing
the~
key again after storing one record with
the
~
key will clear the display and cause the record number
to
advance
to
the next. When entering data continuously, however, it will
not
be necessary
to
press the
~
key twice each time in this manner
to
clear the display. Data
will be stored by pressing
the~
key once at the end
of
each record. When
the first character
of
next data
is
entered, the previous data will be auto-
matically erased from the display. In this case, the previous record number
remains
on
the display until
the~
key.
For
example, the FOX's data can be
entered after the ELLIS' data
by
the following procedure.
