6. Tighten the black T-Knob onto the U-Bolt. Hold the motor face flush with the yellow car-
riage tabs until the motor has been fully secured by the U-Bolt.
7. Manually rock the Motor Carriage toward the rear of the machine and make sure that the
router bit cleanly fits in the slot on the table top.
5.7.2 SERVICING THE ROUTER MOTOR:
1. Follow the instructions found in your Porter Cable/Bosch manual on maintaining the motor.
This includes information on keeping the motor clean and free of dust, maintaining the
brushes and replacing the tooling.
2. The Router motor is warranted for one year from the purchase of the machine.
3. Warranty replacement and parts purchases can be handled by your nearest Porter Cable/
Bosch dealer or service center, or Castle.
4. The Router Motor has two electrical brushes that should be periodically replaced. See Fig 8.
