5. Test for continuity at the wired connections with the switch still in the pedal.
6. Without depressing the Spring Plate the switch should read OPEN. With the spring plate
depressed, the switch should read CLOSED.
Note: The switch is wired at the COM and NC terminals because the Spring Plate de-
presses the button on the switch at rest, holding the switch OPEN.
7. If the switch fails this test it must be replaced. Remove the two remaining Phillips screws
through the switch to remove it from the Foot Pedal.
Note: A quick way to test the foot switch is to test for continuity on terminals 3 and 4 of the control
board pressing down on the foot pedal. ONLY PERFORM THIS OPERATION WITH THE UNIT
UNPLUGGED.
