Manual Transmission (5 Speed)
Shift lever positions:

: Neutral
1 to 5: First to Fifth gear
R: Reverse gear
Gears Towards

ress the clutch pedal and move the shift lever
according to figure. When shifting to alower
gear, do not accelerate the engine to avery
high revolution.
Reverse Gear
Press the clutch pedal, press the shift lever
button and move the shift lever towards
position R.
Note
Place the shift lever on position R (reverse gear)
only with the vehicle stopped and few seconds
after pressing the clutch pedal.
If the gear does not engage easily, return the
shift lever to neutral position and remove the
foot from the clutch pedal, press it again and
then repeat the operation.
Caution
Do not rest your hand on the shift lever
w
hile driving. The pressure could cause
premature wear in the transmission. The
repairs would not be covered by the
vehicle warranty.

Note
T
he electronic module does not avoid damages
to the engine due to high revolution peaks in
case of improper downshifts. For example:
•
Trying to shift from the 4th to 5th speed,
you engage the 3rd speed mistakenly.
•
Disengaging the engine in along downhill
(and when engaging it again, you use a very
low speed).
Under these hypotheses, nevertheless the
electronic module operation, the engine
revolution will increase regardless the amount
of fuel injection. It could surpass the tolerance
limits and lead to severe damages to the inner
engine components. The repairs would not be
covered by the vehicle warranty.
