Wheel Replacement

ll vehicles are equipped with aspare wheel.

The change of wheels is atask that can
p
resent a risk of injury. Never put your body
or part of it under the car or inside the
jack mechanism.
Make the following preparations and observe
t
he following information:
•
Park the vehicle on a level, firm and non-skid
surface. The front wheels must be in the
straight-ahead position.
•
Apply the parking brake and for manual
transmission (if equipped) engage first
gear or reverse gear and for automatic
transmission engage P.
•
Remove the spare wheel.
•
N
ever change more than one wheel at once.
•
Use the jack only to change wheels in case
of puncture.
•
If the ground on which the vehicle is
standing is soft, asolid board (minimum 1
cm thick) should be placed under the jack.
•
No people or animals may be in the vehicle
when it is jacked-up.
•
Never crawl under ajacked-up vehicle.
•
Do not start the vehicle when it is raised on
the jack.
•
Clean wheel nuts and thread with aclean
cloth before mounting the wheel.

Do not grease wheel nut and wheel

ut cone.
1. Alloy wheels and wheel covers:
Install the wheel wrench ensuring that it
l
ocates securely and loosen each wheel nut
by half aturn.
2. Ensure the jack is positioned correctly with
the vehicle jacking points.
