TOP TETHER Anchor
TOP TETHER anchoring points for child
retention device are located at the rear portion
of the rear seat backrests and are always
identified with symbol I .
Note
Use only TOP TETHER anchoring points for
securing retention device for children.
Instructions t
o fix retention device for children
in the TOP TETHER anchoring:
1. Attach the clip on the child restraint's tether
strap to the Top-tether anchor, making sure
to remove any twists in the tether strap.
Adjust the respective headrest as necessary
or remove if required.
2. Tighten the child restraint's tether strap
according to the instructions supplied with
the child restraint.
3. Push and pull on the child restraint after
installation to be sure the child restraint
is secure.
4. If the child restraint is installed next to
acenter seat, make sure the top tether
does not interfere with the center seating
position shoulder belt/retractor. If it does,
find another suitable seating position to
install the child restraint.

Make sure the clip on the child restraint's

ether strap is properly attached to the Top-
tether anchorage. Incorrect attachment
could render the tether strap and top tether
anchorage ineffective.
