o not stay near the Airbag
deployment zone (nor put objects,
including cushions).
•
Use the hooks located over the doors for
hanging light clothes only.
•
Do not put any objects inside the pockets
of clothes which are hung.
•
Do not hold the assist grips (over the
doors) while de vehicle is being driven.
•
Always fasten the safety seat belt.
•
Do not lean on (nor fall asleep) the front
or rear doors. Always sit on the seat
center portion.
Airbag On-Off Switch
F
ront airbag system for the front passenger
seat has to be deactivated if achild restraint
system is to be fitted on this seat. The side and
the curtain airbag systems, the belt tensioners
and all driver airbag system will remain active.
Front passenger airbag system can be
d
eactivated via alock on the side of the
instrument panel, visible when the front
passenger door is open.
The passenger airbag status indicator is located
on the roof console.
Use the vehicle key to choose the position:
U (Off) the front passenger airbag is
deactivated and will not inflate in the event of
acollision. Control indicator U illuminates
continuously. Achild restraint system can be
installed in accordance with the chart Child
restraint installation locations.

(On) the front passenger airbag is active.
No child restraint systems can be installed.
Change the switch position just when the
vehicle is stopped and the ignition is off.
As long as the control indicator V
is
illuminated, the airbag systems for the front
passenger seat will inflate in the event of
acollision.
If both indicator illuminates at the same time or
if no indicators are illuminated, there is afault
in the system. Repair the cause of the fault in
aChevrolet Dealer immediately.
