Paint Scratches and Foreign Material
A
ny stone chips, fractures or deep scratches
in the finish should be repaired right away at
aChevrolet Dealership or Authorized Repair
Shop since bare metal will corrode quickly and
may develop into major corrosion. If you notice
oil and tar stains, road signalling residues, tree
sap, bird dropping, chemicals from industrial
chimneys, ocean salt and others, have them
removed as soon as possible. Use solvent to
remove oil stains, tar and paint residues.
Underbody
The salty water and other corrosive agents
may accelerate early rust and deteriorate
the underbody parts, such as brake line,
floor pan, metal panels, exhaust systems,
brackets, parking brake cables, etc. In addition,
soil debris, mud and dirt packed on fender
opening will collect humidity. To minimize
damage, periodically flush these materials
from the underbody.
Spraying
Do not use oil spray on the underbody. Besides
collecting road dust, the sprayed damages
mounts, gaskets, hoses, etc.
Doors

. Lubricate the lock drums with
powder graphite.
2. Lubricate the door, load compartment and
bonnet hinges and door stoppers.
3. The openings located on the door lower
portion allow for water to escape due to
washings or rain. They should be kept
unclogged to prevent water accumulation
that results in rust.
Alloy Wheels
The alloy wheels receive protection similar to
the vehicle paint. Never use chemical products,
polishers or abrasive products or brushes once
these may damage the wheel protective layer.
Engine Compartment
Caution
It is not recommended to wash the engine

ompartment as this may damage some
components such as: alternator, master

cylinder reservoir, electrical and electronic

omponents, electrical connectors, fuse
box, radiator and others.
Do not wash any component under the
hood that has this symbol e.
This could cause damage that would not be
covered by the vehicle warranty.
If necessary, clean the engine using
adamp cloth.
Interior Care
U
sing aneutral soap solution, immediately
remove hand lotions, sunscreen, and insect
repellent from all interior surfaces or
permanent damage may result.

your vehicle too. So, when cleaning the
interior of your car, do not use volatile
