What to do if Express Setup does not run on Cisco CATALYST 2960 Switch?

  If Express Setup on your Cisco Switch isn't running, first ensure POST ran successfully. The SYST and STAT LEDs should be green before you press the Mode button to enter Express Setup. If you pressed the Mode button during POST, wait for it to complete, power cycle the switch, and then try again. Also, make sure all LEDs above the Mode button are green (RPS LED should be off). If your PC has a static IP address, temporarily switch to DHCP before connecting to the switch.

Why does Express Setup not appear in browser for Cisco CATALYST 2960 Switch?

  The Express Setup page might not appear in your browser for your Cisco Switch because POST might not have completed successfully before starting Express Setup. Ensure that only the SYST and STAT LEDs are green before pressing the Mode button. Another reason could be that your PC has a static IP address. If so, change your PC settings to temporarily use DHCP before connecting to the switch. Also, verify that all LEDs above the Mode button are green, with the RPS LED off, to confirm the switch is in Express Setup mode.
