Cisco CATALYST 2960 - Booting a Specific Software Image; By default, the switch attempts to automatically boot up the system using information in the BOOT environment variable. If this variable is not set, the switch attempts to load and execute the first executable image it can by performing a recursive, depth-first search throughout the flash file system. In a depth-first search of a directory, each encountered subdirectory is completely searched before continuing the search in the original directory. However, you can specify a specific image to boot up.

Examples This example shows how to enable periodic re-authentication and to set 4000 as the number of seconds

This example shows how to set 30 seconds as the quiet time on the switch:

This example shows how to set 45 seconds as the switch-to-authentication server retransmission time:
Switch(config)# dot1x timeout server-timeout 45
This example shows how to set 45 seconds as the switch-to-client retransmission time for the EAP
request frame:

This example shows how to set 60 as the number of seconds to wait for a response to an
EAP-request/identity frame from the client before re-transmitting the request:
Switch(config-if)# dot1x timeout tx-period 60
You can verify your settings by entering the show dot1x privileged EXEC command.
