CDE280 has 6 sub-prototypes, and the spare lite CDE280 chassis can be manufactured into anyone of
them. This section will explain how to manufacture a spare lite CDE280 chassis into a CDE280
sub-prototype.
Requirement
• A CDE280 spare lite chassis
• Corresponding drives
Table 4-6 lists the CDE280 sub-prototype and its external drives
After this process, drives loses its data.
For example, to manufacture a spare lite CDE280 chassis into CDE280-2S5, do the following:
Step 1 Configure the CIMC and remote presence.
For more information, see Configure the CIMC IP.
Step 2 Push 24 x 240G drives into the front panel of the chassis.
According to the previous table, CDE280-2S5 should have 24 x 240G drives.
