6. Supplementary Information
6-1. Self-printing
1) Function
This function is used to check the printer setting status by printing.
2) Starting self-printing
Turn the power on while holding down the FEED switch in the print possible status.
Alternatively, print the printer setting status using the dedicated command “GS (A”.
The following information will be printed.
(* Refer to the command reference “GS(A”.)
(1) Printer model name: PMU2300III XX–XXXXX
(2) ROM version: DC2X-XXXX
(3) BOOT version: XXX.XX
(4) FONT version: XXX.XX
(5) Interface setting
(6) Buffer size
(7) DIP switch setting (* only for serial interface)
(8) Memory switch setting
(9) Font A (20H to FFH)
(10) Font B (20H to FFH)
(11) Font C (20H to FFH)
(12) Kanji font A, 192 characters (only when MSW9-3 is set to ON (kanji enabled))
(13) Kanji font C, 192 characters (only when MSW9-3 is set to ON (kanji enabled))
3) Ending self-printing
When the preset print patterns have been printed, the printer will be reset and initialized.
* When self-printing with the black mark paper selected, printing is performed without any blank mark
control and is not finished in the above format.
However, when self-printing by the test print command, printing will be performed with black mark
control.
