Step 10
Check for secure installation:
• While gripping the Base near the blue Vehicle Belt
Guides, pull front to back and left to right to check
for secure installation, as shown in Figure 64. Vehicle
belt MUST stay tightly secured around Base and Base
should not move more than 1 in. (2.5 cm) in any
direction.
NOTE: If vehicle belt does not stay tight or Base cannot
be securely installed, try a different vehicle seat location
or install using LATCH. See “Installing Car Seat Base
with LATCH” on page 53.
St e p 11 (skip to step 12 if not using the Load Leg)
Extend Load Leg and lock into position as shown in
Figure 65:
• Pull out and hold bottom of Load Leg Adjustment
Handle (1).
• Grasp Load Leg and pull down until Load Leg touches
the vehicle floor (2).
