If installing with lap-only belt:
• Use your body to push and wiggle the Carrier into the
vehicle seat back and pull free end of lap-only belt to
remove all slack as shown in Figure 81.
If installing with an inflatable belt:
• Switch the lap portion of the lap/shoulder belt to the
automatic locking mode by pulling the lap portion of
the lap/shoulder belt all the way out as shown in your
vehicle manual.
• Use your body to push and wiggle the Carrier into the
vehicle seat back and pull down on the lap portion of
inflatable vehicle belt to tighten as shown in Figure 82.
NOTE: The lap portion of the inflatable vehicle belt MUST
remain tight and not lengthen when pressure is released
from the seat. If the lap portion of the inflatable vehicle
belt does not remain tight, repeat this step and refer to
your vehicle manual.
