1.Ifthevehiclehasacanopy,therearuprightsupportsmustberemovedfromtheSAM.
2.Removefourbolts(4)toreleasetheSAM(3)fromthevehicle(Figure4-7,Page4-10).
SAMInstallation
PositiontheSAM(3)overitsmountingholesandsecurewithfourscrews(4).Tightenscrewsto53in-lb(6N·m).
Backrest
Thebackrest(1)issecuredtotheSAM(3)withtwoscrews(2)(Figure4-7,Page4-10).Whenreplacingthebackrest,
tightenscrews(2)to5.9ft-lb(8N·m).
BagRackRemoval
1.Removetwoscrews(10)toreleasethebaghoop(6)andrelatedcomponentsfromtheSAM(3)(Figure4-7,
Page4-10).
2.Bagstrap(8)maybereleasedbyremovingtwoplasticbarrelconnectors(9)andonescrew(12).
3.Bagstrapbuckles(7)maybesnappedoutofbaghoop(6).
BagRackInstallation
Installationisthereverseofremoval.Tightenscrew(12)to4.8ft-lb(6.5N·m)andscrews(10)to11.8ft-lb(16N·m).
SweaterBasket
Thesweaterbasket(11)issecuredtothebaghoopassemblybythreescrews(12).T absontheupperedgeofthe
basketalignwithholesinthebaghoop(6)forinstallationpurposes.Tightenscrews(12)to4.8ft-lb(6.5N·m)to
securethesweaterbasket(Figure4-7,Page4-10).
