All safety devices could wear out and lose
their calibration, it is therefore necessary
to control and keep them in perfect work-
ing order.
Do not rely totally on these devices to assess
your working and safety conditions; in any
case, the operator must have a proper and
conscious use of the machine.
4.9 Residual risks
4.9.1 Prevention against fire
Keep the area around the engine clean by re-

leaks as it can be a potential cause of fire.
Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the en-
gine stopped.
Do not smoke or cause sparks in the area of
refuelling or storage of fuel.
After refuelling, make sure the cap is closed
securely and appropriately.
Be careful not to touch the muffler when it is
hot while the machine is running or immedi-
ately after turning off the engine.
4.9.2 Prevention against water damages
Do not direct high pressure jets onto electrical
components during the
machine washing.
Do not direct the jet directly above the decals
and labels.
Do not disassemble any covers or protective
cases.
Do not use chemical cleaners or petrol which
would cause serious damage to plastic com-
ponents and paintwork.
Remove the remote control and correctly
close the connection sockets of the remote
control and / or equipment placed on the ma-
chine, before washing operations.
Before washing, set the MEWP in driving posi-
