3.2.1 Sample/Elements Overview
Figure 3-6
The archive page is divided into two parts: the left (dark background) is the tested sample, and
the right (light background) is the selected sample information: composition table and image.
The conclusions of the sample are various: Negative( ), Positive( ), Mass( ), Blank( ).
Note: Negative means that all the element/cells in the sample are negative.
Positivity refers to the presence at least one positivity among the many element/cells in the
sample.
Mass means that the sample has too many element/cells to be properly analyzed by the system
and needs to be manually reviewed.
Blank means that the image of the sample is blank, which is usually due to the lack of liquid
extraction by the instrument.
If the sample belongs to the quality control sample, there are only two conclusions: Pass( ),
Failure( )
Pass means the elements/cell content determined by the instrument conforming to the content
range of quality control requirements, that is, in control.
Failure refers to the loss of control when the elements/cell content determined by the instrument
exceeds or falls below the quality control requirements.
