7. Stat Test
A Stat Test may be performed to validate the normal operation
of the gauge electronics. If two out of three stat tests fail the
limits set in the gauge, contact your InstroTek representative.
Passing limit on stat test results are R=0.25 to R=0.45.
To perform a Stat Test:
1. Press MENU.
2. Press the 7 button to do the Stat Test.
3. Place the gauge on a standard block on a level dense
surface, such as soil, asphalt or concrete. Make sure
you are 30 feet (10 meters) away from other gauges.
4. Place the source rod in the “SAFE” Position.
5. When the display reads Stat Test, press START.
6. After 20 minutes the display will show the results of the
test, you can scroll through to see each count.
7. If the test fails, repeat the test. If two out three tests fail,
contact your InstroTek representative.
Note: Control the movement of other gauges during this test.
Always keep other gauge a minimum of 10 meter (30 feet)
away, while taking a Stat test.
8. Auto Depth
The Elite gauge is equipped with an automatic non-contact
magnetic depth indicator. This function will disable the
