18. Calibration Constants
This function will require an access code. Contact your RSO or
InstroTek to obtain an access code.
Note: Only someone familiar with nuclear gauge setup and
calibrations should perform these steps. Changing this
information will result in erroneous readings.
To enter calibration constants:
1. Press MENU.
2. Press the 18 button (1 then 8)
3. Press ENTER.
4. Enter access code using the number keypad.
5. Press the 0 button to change the Moisture constants (E
and F) for entering a negative number use the DOWN
button, for a positive number use the UP button.
6. The depths will be displayed. Scroll to the desired depth
and press the corresponding number for desired depth.
A, B, and C constants can be set for each depth. Use
the DOWN key to enter (-) sign. After all depths have
been entered and you are back at the select the depth
screen, you can press the ON/YES button to take you
back to the gauge ready screen.
7. If the gauge units are in PCF, the calibration constants
are displayed and entered in PCF. If the gauge units are
in kg/m3 or GCC, the calibration constants are
displayed and entered in GCC. There may be rounding
errors when switching between units.
