Once the density is entered, the gauge will calculate a B value
and go into the Special Calibration mode. Record the B value.
During measurements Special Calibrations will appear on the
screen to indicate that the gauge is in special calibration
mode. If the operator turns off the gauge, Special Calibration is
automatically disabled and factory “normal” calibration is
activated. The gauge will maintain the previous B value until it
is over written by a new special calibration test.
Note: If operating in g/cc mode, the gauge will prompt to enter
the density in kg/m3 (g/cc x 1000).
Important: Record and save the B value for future use. Having
the B value eliminates the necessity of going through the
gauge derived process.
It may be more practical to enter the density at a later date. If
a density value is not entered after taking counts on the
material, on the next Special Calibration, the gauge will prompt
to use the stored data. This data contains the counts taken on
the most recent use of Special Calibration function.
