Echo Cancellation
The camera utilizes audio-locating technology to determine who is speaking in the room. Echo
cancellation will need to be set up for the camera to be able to distinguish the audio between remote
meeting participants and the rest of the people in the room.
By feeding the audio output of the conferencing codec into the Ref.Audio input on the camera, the
camera automatically performs echo cancellation. If a remote participant speaks for an extended
period, the camera automatically switches to a wide shot of all the participants in the room.
The Ref.Audio input is unbalanced mono. Increase the volume level if the camera is not performing Echo
Cancellation properly.
Setup using Windows® Stereo Mix
PCs with Realtek audio hardware running Windows® operating system version 10 can send audio to both
a third-party audio device (like your conferencing speakers) as well as the system’s analog
headphone/line output.
The latter will be used to send audio to the Ref. Audio input on the camera using a 1/8in. audio cable.
1. On the connected computer, open the Sound Settings.
2. Scroll down and click on Sound Control Panel.
