11 — DIAGNOSTICS AND TROUBLESHOOTING
Curtis 1239E-1269E Manual, os 37.0 RevA – May 2021
Return to TOC
pg. 140
e Shutdown motor fault action has been modied for safe operation with a PMAC motor. If one
of the following faults is declared, the bridge will open unless the Severe Overvoltage threshold is
exceeded at which time the bridge will short the motor until the capacitor voltage falls below the
undervoltage threshold:
Controller Overcurrent (fault code 12)
Current Sensor Fault (fault code 13)
Severe KSI Undervoltage (fault code 17)
Severe B+ Overvoltage (fault code 18)
Sin/Cos Sensor Fault (fault code 36)
Motor Open (fault code 37)
OS General (fault code 71)
Stall Detected (fault code 73)
Supervisor Fault (fault code 77)
Driver Supply (fault code 83)
Sin/Cos Misalignment Fault (fault code 88)
For any other fault with a ShutdownMotor fault action, the controller will command zero torque
producing current, and command only enough negative ux producing current to keep the capacitor
voltage below the overvoltage threshold. If no ux producing current is necessary for 64 ms, the
bridge will be disabled.
e 1239E and 1269E controllers must have their 12V KSI powered to prevent damage to the
controller any time the motor is moving. Removal of KSI power when the motor is spinning past
the base speed may result in immediate controller damage.
