thoroughly before servicing. Unless otherwise
noted “right” and “left” denote user orientation
for all procedures.
Test Mode
To enter Test Mode press and hold down any key on the display while turning the power
switch to the on (I) position. When all keys are released the software revision “rx.x” is shown
on the display. The display automatically scrolls through the following data for three seconds
each:
rev, (revision) unit (unit of measurement), line (frequency), dist (distance or total miles), hour
(total hours), strt (number of starts), log (error codes 1-5). Afterward “TEST” appears on the
display. To exit Test Mode press Stop.
Stuck Key List
If Test Mode occurs without holding any keys, a key may be stuck closed or Error 7 may have
occurred. If “btn” (button) and a number is displayed you can determine which key is stuck
closed by referring to the list below. If a key is stuck closed you may need to replace the lower
display overlay. See Figure 1. Follow the Display Overlay procedure located in this chapter.
