Why do the power fuses open or the circuit breaker trip on my Danfoss Controller?
    • C
      Chris LittleSep 7, 2025
If the power fuses are open or the circuit breaker trips, it could be due to a phase to phase short; eliminate any shorts detected. Another cause could be motor overload; perform a startup test and verify the motor current is within specifications. If the motor current exceeds the nameplate full load current, the motor may only run with a reduced load. Review the specifications for the application. Loose connections can also cause this, so tighten any loose connections.

    John RhodesSep 8, 2025
Why is the motor speed unstable when using a Danfoss Controller?
    • R
      Richard PhillipsSep 8, 2025
If the motor speed is unstable, it may be due to incorrect parameter settings. Check the settings in parameter group 1-6* Analog I/O mode. For closed-loop operation, check the settings in parameter group 20-0* Feedback.

What to do if the motor is not running with my Danfoss Controller?
    • N
      nwoodwardSep 2, 2025
If the motor is not running, ensure the motor is connected and check the service switch. If you're using a 24 V DC option card, apply mains power to run the unit. If the LCP is stopped, press [Auto On] or [Hand On] (depending on your operation mode) to start the motor. Apply a valid start signal if there is a missing start signal (Standby). If the motor coast signal is active, apply 24 V on terminal 27 or program this terminal to No operation. If the reference signal source is wrong, program the correct settings and check the wiring, scaling of terminals, and reference signal.
