How to fix drive overtemperature in Danfoss Media Converter?
    • K
      Karen AliAug 27, 2025
If your Danfoss Media Converter is showing a drive overtemperature error, which could be due to a high ambient temperature or a motor cable that is too long, wait until the temperature of the heatsink is below 158°F [70°C].

How to resolve DC overvoltage on Danfoss Media Converter?
    • N
      Nathaniel RochaAug 27, 2025
If your Danfoss Media Converter shows a DC overvoltage error, which means the intermediate circuit voltage exceeds the limit, you can connect a brake resistor, extend the ramp time, or select the OVC function to extend the ramp times.

How to troubleshoot DC undervoltage on Danfoss Media Converter?
    • K
      kgreenAug 28, 2025
If your Danfoss Media Converter shows a DC undervoltage error, indicating that the intermediate circuit voltage has dropped below the “voltage warning low” limit, check whether the 24 V backup supply is connected and ensure the supply voltage matches the adjustable frequency drive.

How to troubleshoot a dark or non-functional display on a Danfoss Controller?
    • B
      Brianna JacobsSep 1, 2025
If the Danfoss Controller display is dark or has no function, first check the input power source. If the power source is okay, check for any missing or open fuses, or a tripped circuit breaker, following the provided recommendations. Another cause may be no power to the LCP; if this is the case, replace the faulty LCP or connection cable. Also, check for a shortcut on the control voltage (terminal 12 or 50) or at the control terminals and ensure the terminals are wired correctly. Verify you are using the correct LCP (LCP 101 (P/N 130B1124) or LCP 102 (P/N. 130B1107)). Adjust the contrast by pressing [Status] + ?/? to adjust the contrast. If the display (LCP) is defective, replace the LCP or connection cable. For an internal voltage supply fault or defective SMPS, contact your supplier.

What to do if the motor is not running with my Danfoss Controller?
    • N
      nwoodwardSep 2, 2025
If the motor is not running, ensure the motor is connected and check the service switch. If you're using a 24 V DC option card, apply mains power to run the unit. If the LCP is stopped, press [Auto On] or [Hand On] (depending on your operation mode) to start the motor. Apply a valid start signal if there is a missing start signal (Standby). If the motor coast signal is active, apply 24 V on terminal 27 or program this terminal to No operation. If the reference signal source is wrong, program the correct settings and check the wiring, scaling of terminals, and reference signal.

    Joseph HoffmanSep 3, 2025
Why is there a mains current imbalance greater than 3% in my Danfoss Controller?
    • R
      Robert PetersonSep 3, 2025
If you notice a mains current imbalance greater than 3% in your Danfoss Controller, it could be due to a problem with the mains power. Try rotating the input power leads into the drive one position: A to B, B to C, C to A. It may also be a problem with the frequency converter unit, in which case you should also rotate the input power leads into the frequency converter one position: A to B, B to C, C to A.
