4.3 Cable Requirements for CAN Type Option Boards
The recommended cables for installation are four-wire twisted and shielded cables with an impedance of 120 Ω. The network topol-
ogy is a two-wire bus line that is terminated at both ends by resistors showing the characteristic impedance of the bus line.
The typical CAN bus cable impedance is 120 Ω, thus use termination resistance of ~120 Ω. For long networks, use a higher resistance
value (150–300 Ω). Minimum cable length of 1 meter between two stations is recommended.
