Oil management concept
Oil separator Oil management is critical for manifolding
solution. To better improve oil management,
Danfoss recommends customers to equip a oil
separator.
Customers have the opportunity to select
Chiyoda (CE marked) oil separator (OS) since it
has been tested by Danfoss. Chiyoda OS could
improve oil starvation with selected capillary size,
while customers still need to take performance
evaluation into consideration when dening
optimized capillary size according to dierent
air condition systems. Detailed information
hereafter.
Please note an oil separator is not 100%
ecient. A good system design and ecient
oil management remain essential. It is the
responsibility of system OEM to ensure proper
oil return to the compressors including the
qualication of all possible operating modes,
equipment congurations and accessory options.
Many oil separator design exist; the selection,
requirements and recommendations of the oil
separator manufacture should be allowed.
