This feature is used to prevent unnecessary trips which may occur in cases where the load is powered up
suddenly after remaining unpowered for a long period of time. Only valid for āOVERCURRENT
PROTECTION (ANSI 50/51)ā and āGROUND OVERCURRENT PROTECTION (ANSI 50N/51N)ā. The
protections are valid for the parameter group defined in this section for a set duration after the system has
been energized.

If a current is measured which is
higher than the configured In value
upon energizing, TCLPTD condition
starts. If this parameter is set to 0,
TCLPTD conditions checks breaker
position.
If a current is measured which is lower
than the configured In value upon
deenergizing, TCOLDTD condition
starts. If this parameter is set to 0,
TCOLDTD condition checks breaker
position.
If the load is not energized for this
period, it is designated as cold load.
The cold load condition is removed
after this period is elapsed upon
energizing.
