If your Datalogic Barcode Reader's laser activates but fails to decode the barcode, there might be a few reasons:
* The reader may not be set up for the barcode type you're scanning. Check the Product Reference Guide (PRG) for programming instructions.
* The barcode itself could be damaged or unreadable. Make sure the label is clean and try scanning a different barcode.
* The distance between the reader and the barcode might be off. Try moving the reader closer or further away from the barcode.

If your Datalogic Barcode Reader decodes the barcode but doesn't transmit it to the host, it might not be programmed for the correct host type. Scan the appropriate host type barcode, referring to the Product Reference Guide (PRG) for more information.

R
Randall WilliamsonAug 29, 2025
If nothing happens when you pull the scan button on your Datalogic Barcode Reader, it could be due to a couple of things:
1. There might be no power reaching the reader. Ensure the system power is on and the power supply is properly connected.
2. The interface or power cables could be loose. Make sure all cable connections are securely in place.
