B.2.2 Menu Items and Values
The table below details the Printer Setup Menu List with a brief description of the item’s function and possible
values, where an asterisk (*) denotes the default setting.
1) MEDIA TYPE
Sets printing for direct thermal
(no ribbon) or thermal transfer
(with ribbon) media.
Possible Values:
* DIRECT THERMAL
THERMAL TRANSFER
2) SENSOR TYPE
Selects the sensor type used to
detect the media Top Of Form
(TOF) mark.
Possible Values:
* EDGE: gap / notch TOF marks
REFL (Reflective): black marks
CONT (Continuous): no TOF
marks
3) PRESENT SENSOR
Enables/Disables the optional
Present Sensor feature.
Possible Values:
* AUTO
NO
YES
4) CUTTER
Enables/Disables the optional
Media Cutter feature.
Possible Values:
* AUTO
NO
YES
5) UNITS OF MEASURE
Sets the printer to interpret
measurements as metric or
imperial values.
Possible Values:
* Imperial
Metric
6) ROW ADJUST
Shifts the vertical start of print
position (in xxx dots).
Possible Values:
Range: 0 – 255; nominal = *128
(0 = close to edge; 255 = farthest
from edge)
7) COLUMN ADJUST
Shifts the horizontal start of
print position (in xxx dots).
Possible Values:
Range: 0 – 255; nominal =
*128
(0 = close to edge; 255 =
farthest from edge)
8) PRESENT ADJUST
Specifies an additional amount to
feed the label after printing.
Possible Values:
Range: 0 – 255; nominal = *128
(0 = close to edge; 255 = farthest
from edge)
9) BAUD RATE
Sets the serial port baud rate.
(Must match the host setting).
Possible Values:
600 to 38.4k; default = *9600
BPS
10) DATA BITS
Sets the serial data word length
(Must match the host setting).
Possible Values:
* 8

11) CONTROL CODES
Allows code selection listed in
Class Series 2 Programmer’s
Manual.
Possible Values:
* (STD) Standard Codes
(ALT) Alternate Codes
12) LABEL LENGTH
Sets the page (label) size when the
SENSOR TYPE is set to continuous
media.
Possible Values:
Range: 0 – 9999; default = *100
(Units = .01 inch)
