CAUTION: Take care not to damage the system identification button while placing the system board into the
chassis.
2. Holding the system board holder and release pin, insert the system board into the system.
3. Holding the system board holder, push the system board toward the back of the system until the release pin clicks into place.

Next steps
1. Install the Trusted Platform Module (TPM).
NOTE:
The TPM plug-in module is attached to the system board and cannot be removed. A replacement TPM plug-in
module is provided for all system board replacements, where a TPM plug-in module was installed.
2. Replace the following:
a. Integrated storage controller card
b. USB 3.0 module (if applicable)
c. IDSDM/vFlash card
d. All expansion card risers
e. Processors and heat sink modules
f. Processors and memory blanks (if applicable)
g. Memory modules and memory module blanks
h. Network daughter card
i. Air shroud
j. Power supply unit(s)
3. Reconnect all cables to the system board.
NOTE:
Ensure that the cables inside the system are routed along the chassis wall and secured using the cable securing
bracket.
4. Follow the procedure listed in After working inside your system on page 56.
5. Ensure that you:
a. If the Service Tag is not backed up in the backup flash device, enter the Service Tag manually.
b. Update the BIOS and iDRAC versions.
c. Re-enable the Trusted Platform Module (TPM). For more information, see Replacing the Trusted Platform Module on
page 114.
