1. Open the control module release latch by pressing the latch release button. The release latch should spring
partially open. Refer to Removing a Control Module on page 41 for an illustration of opening the release
latch.
2. Lift the control module release latch to its fully open position before inserting it into the slot, as shown in
callout 1 of Figure 28.
3. Hold the control module by its sides and insert it into an empty slot, as shown in callout 1 of Figure 28.

4. Continue to slide the control module into the chassis until you feel resistance.
5. Rotate the release lever inward and down, which pushes the control module completely into the slot. The
latch on the lever will snap into place. See callout 2 of Figure 28.
6. Check to make sure the control module is operational. See Interpreting Control Module LEDs on page 37.
