Prerequisites
1 Remove the base cover.
2 Remove the battery.
3 Remove the memory modules.
4 Remove the solid-state drive/Intel Optane.
5 Remove the wireless card.
6 Remove the graphics-card fan.
7 Remove the processor fan.
8 Remove the heat sink.
9 Replace the power-adapter port.
10 Remove the system board.

Procedure
1 Remove the two screws (M2x2.5) that secure the power button to the palm-rest assembly.
2 Peel the ngerprint reader cable o the palm-rest assembly (optional).
3 Using a plastic scribe, release the ngerprint-reader from the palm-rest assembly.
