Installing the fan
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task

Steps
1. Place the fan on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
2. Align the screw holes on the fan to the screw holes on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
3. Replace the two screws that secure the fan to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
4. Route the I/O-board cable through the routing guides on the fan.
5. Connect the fan cable to the system board.
6. Connect the I/O-board cable to the system board and close the latch.
7. Adhere the Mylar that covers the system board.
