Removing the speakers (3-cell battery configuration)
Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the base cover.
3. Remove the 3-cell battery.
4. Remove the solid-state drive in M.2 slot two. (if applicable)
About this task
NOTE: The following procedure applies only to computers shipped with a 3-cell battery.
The following images indicate the location of the speaker and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
1. Disconnect the keyboard-backlight cable and keyboard cable from the system board.
2. Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.
