4. Remove the display assembly.
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the display bezel and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
1. Insert a plastic scribe into the recesses near both the hinge caps to start the prying and release the display bezel.
NOTE:
The display bezel is adhered to the display panel with adhesive. Disengage the adhesive from an X and Y axis or
moving horizontally along the bezel to disengage the adhesive first before prying upwards.
NOTE: Carefully pry and remove the bezel to minimize risk of display panel damages.
2. Carefully pry along the outside edge of the display bezel and work your way around the entire display bezel until the display
bezel is separated from the display cover.
NOTE:
Do not use a plastic scribe or any other objects to pry up the display bezel in the manner that is shown in the
image as the pressure applied on the display panel by the plastic scribe will damage the display panel.
