Steps
1. Removing M.2 2280 solid-state drive without bracket:
a. Remove the (M2x4) screw that secures the M.2 2280 solid-state drive to its slot on the system board.
b. Slide at an angle and remove the M.2 2280 solid-state drive from the solid-state drive slot on the system board.
2. Removing M.2 2280 solid-state drive with bracket:
a. Remove the two (M2x3) screws that secure the M.2 2280 solid-state drive bracket on the system board.
b. Remove the solid-state drive bracket off the system.
NOTE:
If the thermal pad located above the solid-state drive, gets detached from the solid-state drive bracket,
adhere it back to the solid-state drive bracket.
c. Slide at an angle and remove the M.2 2280 solid-state drive from the solid-state drive slot on the system board.
Installing the M.2 2280 solid-state drive
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.

NOTE: You can refer the below procedure to install the M.2 2280 solid-state drive in both SLOT 1 and SLOT 2.
NOTE: SLOT1 supports only PCIe Gen4 Solid-state drive and does not support any Intel Optane.
NOTE: SLOT2 supports only PCIe Gen3 Solid-state drive and Intel Optane.
