6. Follow the procedures in After Working Inside Your Computer.
Removing the Fans
1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
2. Remove the:
a) base cover
b) battery
3. Perform the following steps to remove the system fan and the video-card fan:
a) Disconnect the camera cable from the I/O board.
b) Disconnect the system fan cable and the video-card fan cable from the system board.
c) Remove the screws that secure the fans to the system board.
d) Lift the fans away from the palmrest assembly.
Installing the Fans
1. Connect the system fan cable and the video-card fan cable to the system board.
2. Connect the camera cable to the I/O board.
3. Align the screw holes on the fans with the screw holes on the palmrest assembly.
4. Tighten the screws to secure the fans to the palmrest assembly.
5. Install the:
a) battery
b) base cover
6. Follow the procedures in After Working Inside Your Computer .
Removing the Heatsink
1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
