3. Remove the access panel.
4. Remove the secondary hard drive (if applicable).
5. Remove the hinge cover.
6. Remove the keyboard.
7. Remove the display assembly.
8. Remove the palm rest.
9. Remove the PCMCIA card cage.
10. Remove the four screws that secure the left I/O and IEEE 1394 board to the computer.
11. Lift the left I/O and IEEE1394 board up and away from the computer.
12. Disconnect the cable that connects the IEEE 1394 board to the left I/O board.
Replacing the Left I/O and IEEE 1394 Board
To replace the left I/O and IEEE 1394 board, perform the above steps in reverse order.
