About this task
NOTE: The front-end SAS ports of an SC4020 storage system cannot be configured using the
Storage Center Startup Wizard. To configure the front-end SAS ports of an SC4020 storage system,
see the Dell SC4020 Storage System Front-End SAS Configuration Tech Note.
Steps
1. Use a supported web browser to connect to the eth0 IP address or host name of storage controller

2. Acknowledge any security messages.
NOTE: The security messages that appear may differ depending on the browser used.
3. If the Storage Center software and firmware need to be updated, a dialog box opens that informs
you it is mandatory to update the factory-installed software and firmware to the latest version.

a. Click Accept.
b. Update the firmware and software as directed by Dell Technical Support.
4. If the Storage Center software and firmware do not need to be updated, the Storage Center Login
page opens.
