Configure Emulex HBA Settings
Configure Emulex HBA card settings to enable an Emulex HBA card to communicate more effectively
with Storage Center. Configure Emulex HBA settings with the Emulex HBAnywhere utility or the Emulex
LightPulse BIOS.
Configure an Emulex HBA card to match the following settings.

QLogic HBA Cards
Qlogic manufactures HBA cards for iSCSI, Fibre Channel, and FCoE connections.

Configure Qlogic HBA Settings
Configure Qlogic HBA card settings to enable the server to communicate more effectively with Storage
Center. The following settings can be configured on any of the compatible Qlogic HBA cards from the
Qlogic Fast!UTIL BIOS or the Qlogic SANsurfer. After configuring the settings based on the manufacturer
of the HBA card, configure the settings that apply to the operating system running on the server.
Configure a Qlogic HBA card to match the following settings.
Fibre Channel Adapters

Connection options 1 for point-to-point only
Login retry count 60 attempts
Port down retry count 60 attempts
Link down timeout 30 seconds
Execution Throttle 256
iSCSI Adapters
