3.2.1 Switching on/o
Press the On/O button to switch the system on. The pow-
er-assist mode that was active at the time the control pan-
el was switched o is reinstated. The back-lit display is
turned on briey then goes out. All recording of data (trip,
average speed, top speed, total journey length) starts as
soon as you switch the control panel on and stops when
you switch it o.
› Please always make sure you switch o the dis-
play before removing the battery. Otherwise you
may lose the recorded trip data. Also, the display
might no longer show the correct total journey
length.
› If you stop your Pedelec and it does not move for
ten minutes, the system switches o automati-
cally. If you want to use the assistance again,
you will have to switch it back on via the control
panel.
3.2.1.1 Back-lit display
The back-lit display and LCD control panel display can
also be switched on even if the drive is not enabled. To do
this, press the light switch. The drive remains in the NO
ASSIST mode (power assist does not work).
If you press the light switch when the LCD control panel is
switched on, the back-lit display turns on.
If you press the light switch when the light is switched
on, the back-lit display goes out. The power assist is still
available and you can change the assist level.
3.2.2 Assist buttons
You can speci the power-assist level using the Assist
buttons. Each time you press an Assist button the power
assist changes by one level.
If you require more assistance, press the Assist button
that points upwards. In the HIGH mode, if you press the
Assist button that points upwards, it goes into the NO
ASSIST mode. In the NO ASSIST mode, you ride the bike
normally without the assistance of the motor.
For less assistance, press the Assist button that points
downwards. In the ECO mode, if you press the Assist but-
ton that points downwards, it goes into the NO ASSIST
mode.
3.2.3 Power-assist mode
You can choose to relax and let the bike do the work, exert
yourself more physically, or simply get om A to B as fast
as possible. You can decide this yourself by choosing an
appropriate power-assist mode.
Display LEDS ASSIST LEVEL
HIGH This means the assistance is working
hard.
STANDARD This means the assistance is working
with a medium level of eort.
ECO This means the assistance is working
with a low level of eort.
NO ASSIST This means the assistance is not work-
ing.
3.2.4 Battery charge state
Using a stylised battery divided into segments, it shows
the charge remaining in the battery. The lower the charge
state of the battery is, the fewer segments are displayed.

3.2.5 Power output indicator
The power output indicator shows the actual power output
being requested and the actual power consumption in six
stages (bars). This indicator helps you save power when
riding which means you can travel rther. The fewer of
the six bars that are displayed, the lower the actual power
output of the motor and the consumption. If more bars are
visible, the power output and consumption of the motor is
higher.
