OPERATION, CONT.
Keypad Tare (Entering Known Container Weight)
1. With the scale in the normal operation mode, enter the known weight of the container using
the numeric keys, and then press the Tare key.
2. The Tare window will change to show the weight of the container, the Weight window will
change to show )00, with the NET annunciator turned on.
NOTE: If the container is removed from the scale platform, the Weight window will change
to show a negative weight (the weight of the container).
3. To clear the Tare weight, remove the container from the scale platform, and then press
the Tare key again.
Lock and Unlock Tare
Lock Tare
1. With the scale in the normal operation mode, place the container on the scale platform, or
enter the known weight of the container using the numeric keys.
2. Press and hold the Tare key.
3. The scale will beep once when the key is pressed, and beep again (after approximately
four (4) seconds) when the tare is locked. Note that the Lock Tare annunciator in the Tare
window will turn on.
4. Release the Tare key.
5. Proceed with normal weighing operations.
Unlock Tare
1. With a tare locked in the scale, press and hold the Tare key.
2. The scale will beep once when the key is pressed, and beep again (after approximately
four (4) seconds) when the tare is unlocked. Note that the Lock Tare annunciator in the
Tare window will turn off.
3. Proceed with normal weighing operations.
Note 1 Once a tare is locked, it cannot be changed or cleared automatically.
Note 2 Only entering a manual tare can change the tare. If a PLU has PLU Tare, Lock Tare
cannot overwrite the PLU tare.
Note 3 A locked tare locked must be manually unlocked.
